James, Josh

Josh James, a Caledonia native, joined Raymond Fire & Rescue in 2002 residing on the east border of our town. Josh completed Fire Fighter I in 2002, following that he completed his EMT Basic certification around 2005, and Fire Fighter II 2007.

Josh joined the Fire Department primarily "to help the community", he in fact had no idea there was any compensation involved. He found the excitement and adrenaline when the tones go off as the greatest rush unfortunately at the expense of others misfortune. The teamwork he learned, has helped in his own personal and professional development. Josh confessed, "My girlfriend (now wife) at the time of joining really liked a man in uniform, especially fire fighters."

Josh now lives in Raymond with his wife Mandy, and two children Lyla and Jackson. Josh's hobbies include just about anything outdoors, such as 4 Wheeling, Hunting, and Fishing.
